Tasting Notes:

Very pungent, strong and burny.

Pungency in the throat and on the tongue.

Strong lingering flavour, some felt uncomfortable.

Great for robust foods, game and lamb.

Not often does a garlic arrest your attention, Donostia Red is one of those. It's really pretty, has a great flavour profile raw (hectically pungent) and sublime when cooked with a mild creamy garlic flavour and texture.

These guys store so well that they can be kept almost a full year in the kitchen.

These are really a superb variety for the home gardener.

If you live in a winter rainfall area, we strongly recommend that you use Biogrow Copper Soap on your garlic plants. Spray preventatively for rust every 2-3 weeks with a mixture of 50% of the minimum dose and water.

This was the second year that I planted donostia red. Best garlic for my area as we dont get that much cold units during the winter months

I have tried a lot of garlic. I do believe that I have found the garlic that grows the best in my area. I planted all 4 creole varieties. This one did the best plus the other 3, out grow previous ones I tried. Thanks Living Seeds
