Allium cepa
A really productive, fantastic onion variety, that produces quickly with very small bulbs. Crisp and mild, excellent in green salads and even as a small pickling onion. Such an easy to grow variety, growing in a wide range of soils. Can be planted in spring, summer or autumn; plant seed thickly and don't thin out for the best pencil thin scallions. The longer you leave them to grow and swell, the stronger the flavour that develops.
