Capsicum baccatum
A rare chilli originating from the northern coastal valleys of Peru.
The plants produce thin-walled, pendant-shaped fruits that are about 8cm long. Ripening from yellow to red and orange, the fruits have a green-apple-like flavour without any bitterness.
As far as chilli varieties go, these are easy to grow, and they produce a good yield.
Expect 30 000 - 50 000 SHU.
