Capsicum annuum

One of the most unusual peppers. Developed by the University of New Mexico in 1992 it was release as an OP variety for primarily the ornamental market. It's a great little pepper that looks stunning in a flower bed but admirably, will double as a culinary addition for those looking to add a bit of zest to a dish.

These delightful chills are pretty enough to grow in pots and give as gifts. They keep on and on producing masses of fruit right up until the frost comes. They dry well and I bring them up in the coffee grinder tomato my own chilli powder. They also make lovely little pickled chills for adding to jars of pickled onions, dilly beans and gherkins.
