Capsicum annuum

This ornamental chilli variety is a cross between a Jalapeno and a Purple Tiger which was made by unknown Italian growers.

The edible fruits have the flavour of a jalapeno with a slight sweetness to them.

The plants are prolific producers of red peppers which sometimes have a lighter striping to their skin, hence the name Tiger.
