Cucurbita maxima
This squash variety was originally gathered by James Robinson from the Amish gardeners in the Maryland mountains. The large oval shaped pumpkins have a pale orange coloured skin with a thick, bright orange flesh that is delectably sweet and moist. Mostly used either for freezing or baking.
Ready for harvest in 95 days after transplant.
