Solanum lycopersicum
A US heirloom released by New York seedsman James Thornburn in 1893, this semi-determinate variety produces a good yield of rich copper-orange-brown-coloured beefsteaks. The flesh is a blend of orange and pink, with an emerald-green gel that holds the seeds.
The intense flavours explode in your mouth with a lovely contrast of rich and sweet, with delicious tomato aromas that lend this slicer superbly to both fresh eating and sauces.
Ready for harvest at 75 days from transplant.
