Phaseolus vulgaris
A classic Heirloom variety native to central and southern America. One of their key attractions is their adaptability to differing climates, handling cool and hot weather equally well.
This compact bush has the occasional runner, but does not require support. A good producer of flat green pods with 4-5 seeds per pod. Can be used as young green snap beans or allowed to dry on the bush for beautiful white beans mottled maroon and brown reminiscent of an Appaloosa horse's colouring.
