Phaseolus vulgaris


A beautifully purple coloured bush bean from Northern Malawi, originally grown by the Tumbuka people. The dual purpose pods have a fresh nutty flavour and a crisp, succulent bite. Can be used as a green or dry bean. Grows to a max height of 1m.

Green pods are ready to harvest in 60 days and dry beans are ready to harvest in 90 days.


Standard packet contains approx. 25 seeds

Petite packet contains approx. 10 seeds
